This privacy statement applies to http://www.insilentpassage.com, also accessible via http://insilentpassage.com, ("Site").
The Site is a personal blog website, also known as a blog site or weblog, of Christopher V. DeRobertis ("Author").
General
The Site's web server(s), blog service, and site syndication feed(s) ("Services") are controlled and offered by Blogger and its facilities. The Author does not control Blogger Services, does not know the physical location of the servers that provide the Blogger Services or that serve the content of the Site, and does not control the Blogger Service's use of cookies, user tracking, or data collection and retention.

Access to the Site
The Site does not require a user ("you," also known as a "visitor") to log in to the Site or otherwise validate yourself to the Site in order to access the Site's content.
Cookies
The Site is hosted at Blogger (blogger.com), a blog publishing service and optional hosting service. Blogger is part of Google, Inc.
The Author does not intentionally enable cookies in the web pages at the Site.
Any use of cookies by the web pages at the Site may occur through the use of the template used for the Site. The template used by the Site is provided by Blogger Services. The Author did not create the template, thus any cookie usage by the template is a consequence of the template's author(s).
With the exception of specific aesthetic/artistic changes to the template to meet the Author's creative visual presentation for the Author's content, the Author has not modified the template.
You may disable cookies in your web browser, provided that your web browser provides that capability.
Due to European Union (EU) laws, Blogger/Google has added a notice to the Site explaining Google's use of certain Blogger and Google cookies, including use of Google Analytics and AdSense cookies. The Author verified on August 1, 2015, that the notice displayed. Note: Per the Blogger Help page, "Cookies notification in European Union countries" (retrieved August 1, 2015), since the Site uses a custom domain, the notice won't be seen outside of the EU.
Data Collected
Two types of data are collected: (1) technical data that is automatically collected from all visitors to the Site (described under "Automatically Collected Data"); and (2) data that you voluntarily submit to the Site via electronic mail (described under "Voluntary Data Provided through E-mail").
Automatically Collected Data
Blogger provides to the Author via official Blogger Site interfaces, statistical data collected by Blogger related to the Site and Site content access.
The data accessible to the Author is provided as an aggregated view of "pageviews" by "Traffic Sources" (e.g. pageviews by referring URLs, referring sites, keyword or label searches), "Audience" (e.g. pageviews by countries, browsers), and "Posts" (e.g. pageviews by posts, static pages).
The Author does not have access to raw logs or other data automatically collected by Blogger.
Data collected through the use of cookies is described under "Cookies."
Voluntary Data Provided through E-mail
If you voluntarily contact the Author through e-mail (electronic mail) and voluntarily provide the Author personally identifiable information, like name, postal address, e-mail addresses, telephone number, etc., then any data and information you voluntarily provide may be used by the Author in order to respond to the inquiry, or for communication exchanges related to the Site or the Site's content.
The Author does not share this data with third parties, unless compelled to do so by law/legal requirements and/or governmental agencies, or when the Author believes there is reason to contact authorities, the Site's hosting providing, or other entities for ethical, moral, or legal reasons.
Thus, the Author reserves the right at any and all times to disclose any information provided by you to the Author, as the Author sees fit, deems necessary, or is required to do so by law.
Mailing Lists
The Author does not automatically add e-mail addresses to a mailing list.
The Author does not have a Site mailing list.
Ads
The Author does not embed in the Site's creative content third party ads or ad services.
Links to Other Sites
The Site may contain or provide links to other websites, blogs, pages, or other locations available on the Internet (hereafter "Linked Sites") that are not under the control of, nor are maintained by, the Author. The Author is not responsible for the content of Linked Sites, nor any link contained in Linked Sites, nor the availability, nor the accessibility of Linked Sites. The Author is providing Linked Sites to you only as a convenience. The inclusion of Linked Sites does not imply endorsement by the Author of the Linked Sites, nor of Linked Sites' content. Linked Sites may contain content that some may find inappropriate, offensive, questionable, inaccurate, objectionable, or illegal. The Author makes no representations concerning any effort to review the content of Linked Sites. Consequently, the Author is not and cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, copyright compliance, legality, or decency of content contained in Linked Sites.
