Somewhere and somewhen on a cold winter's night, a conversation culminates...

     "Every season dies, child," said the angel to the orphan.

     "Do not cry for the naked trees. Do not shiver at the sight of animals plodding through snow. Do not get lost in the sadness of short days and long nights.

     "Rejoice that you are alive, awake, and aware, and that your memories and your wishes are merely bookends to the ever present now."

About

"Alive, Awake, Aware" (AAA) is part mantra, part declaration, and part affirmation.

It's also a nod to my fondness for "plain text" sequences, i.e., text in monospaced typefaces, coupled with visual highlights.
