About

Imaginary Music is the banner under which I'm releasing album cover artwork for the imaginary bands (that play) inside my head.

Matterist is a Power Metal band in the vein of Fifth Angel, Stryper, and Savatage. Their seminal album, The Inevitability of Being, combines anthem-like choruses with memorable dual guitar melodies, lyrics that celebrate survival in the face of overwhelming odds, and a thunderous rhythm section that meshes driving beats with syncopated insanity—imagine Charlie Benante (Anthrax) and Neil Peart (Rush) combined—and weaving counterpoint bass lines that are reminiscent of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) and Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath).
