What IT Has Taught Me

What IT has taught me:
  • Fast is never fast enough
  • Update, upgrade, patch, and fix are four letter words
  • There's no such thing as too much data
  • We want everything to be intuitive, as long as it's our view of intuitive
  • Obsolescence happens (then becomes nostalgia)
  • There's no shortage of good ideas (or bad implementations)
  • Ones and zeros are stepping stones
  • Always connected is too wired
  • State-of-the-art is relative to the here-and-now
  • Footprints, fingerprints, and breadcrumbs last "forever"
